Link activity is also collected and processed by MailerLite, a third-party email marketing service, on our behalf.

Appointment Booking

If you choose to book an appointment, Blue Violet Nutrition collects personal information including your name, email address, and phone number to schedule appointments, communicate with you regarding your booking, and provide information related to your requested services. 

Who We Share Personal Data With

Employees

We may disclose user data to any member of our organization who reasonably needs access to user data to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

Third Parties

We may share user data with the following third parties:

  1. MailerLite email marking services; and
  2. Colib practice management platform.

We may share the following user data with third parties:

  1. Email address and link activity; and
  2. Full name, email address, and phone number.

We may share user data with third parties for the following purposes:

  1. MailerLite: Email addresses are stored by MailerLite, an email marketing service provider. Your information is securely processed by MailerLite for the purpose of managing newsletter subscriptions and sending emails on behalf of Blue Violet Nutrition. You may unsubscribe from these communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in each email or emailing hello@bluevioletnutrition.com.
  2. Colib: Appointment bookings are managed through Colib, a booking and practice management platform that securely processes personal information on behalf of Blue Violet Nutrition. Your information is used only for the purposes of managing appointments, communicating with you about your appointment, and providing requested services. Prior to receiving nutrition counselling services, individuals will additionally review a separate privacy and consent policy which contains further information about health information collection and use in accordance with applicable Canadian and Albertan privacy legislation.

Third parties will not be able to access user data beyond what is reasonably necessary to achieve the given purpose.

Other Disclosures

We will not sell or share your data with other third parties, except in the following cases:

  1. If the law requires it;
  2. If it is required for any legal proceeding;
  3. To prove or protect our legal rights; and
  4. To buyers or potential buyers of this company in the event that we seek to sell the company.

How Long We Store Personal Data

Newsletter Subscription: Records of consent and requests to remove information will be stored for three years.

Appointment booking: Personal information will be stored for ten years after the completion of service delivery, or from the last date of contact.

How We Protect Your Personal Data

Email addresses collected for newsletter subscriptions are stored within MailerLite (their privacy policy can be found at https://www.mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy)

Personal information collected during the appointment booking process is stored securely within Colib’s platform (their security policy can be found at https://www.colib.io/security)

While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure that user data is secure and that users are protected, there always remains the risk of harm. The Internet as a whole can be insecure at times and therefore we are unable to guarantee the security of user data beyond what is reasonably practical.

International Data Transfers

We transfer user personal data to the following countries:

  1. Email addresses for newsletter subscription are processed and stored as per MailerLite’s terms of service and may be located in countries outside of Canada.

Children

We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 13 years of age. If a child under 13 years of age has provided us with personal data their parent or guardian may contact our privacy officer.

Modifications
